Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing defined Tier 1 scope related sales inquiries from the EMEA and JAPAC teams. For any other inquiries, they will escalate to the appropriate Tier 2 support teams (Field, Channel and SE operations teams).
  • May assist EMEA and JAPAC sales operations teams with basic sales operations tasks including data hygiene tasks, account and lead routing validation, and basic reporting in SFDC.
  • May assist with new hire onboarding for Salesforce CRM and Sales tools, partnering with the Tier 1 Sales Operations Support lead and Sales Enablement teams.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of combined sales, SDR, or sales operations experience, ideally at a high-tech or SaaS based company.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, and other sales tools including ZoomInfo, Outreach.
  • Basic reporting skills in Salesforce and other tools, as well as basic Excel or Google sheets skills to compile simple business analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new things quickly.
  • We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
  • Knowledge of other sales tools including 6Sense, Clari, and dashboards (Looker, Tableau or PowerBI)
  • Prior Tier 1 support experience in either sales operations or similar support roles.
  • Experience building and using agentic-prompts to automate GTM and support workflows
  • Work Hours:
  • This position will require you to work during scheduled hours from 2 pm - 11 pm (IST)
  • Due to the regional scope of this EMEA and APJ Tier 1 sales support function, core business hours may occasionally extend to EMEA and APJ friendly time-zones to support regional coverage schedules as needed.
  • Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:
  • This position is based out of our Pune, India office.
  • This position does not require travel, unless specified by your manager.

The Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst will be part of Fastly's Global Sales Operations team, providing Tier 1 Sales Operations support for International Sales teams in EMEA and JAPAC. They will partner closely with the Tier 1 Sales Operations lead and EMEA and JAPAC Field operations team, as well as multiple stakeholders across Channel and SE operations, Marketing operations, and IT Business Systems teams. This role will be an entry-level Sales Operations role, and will report into the Sr. Manager, Global Sales Strategy & Operations, based out of our India office. This role will also matrix into the Tier 1 Sales Operations lead based out of our Denver office. The perfect candidate for this role is a self-starter, curious, and willing to learn new things quickly. They will have a basic understanding of Sales as a business function, with a minimum 3 years experience either in Sales/SDR/BDR/AM roles or at least 1 year supporting Sales teams in sales operations or other support roles, with a high-tech or SaaS based companies. They will have basic level knowledge of Salesforce CRM, as well as other key sales tools supporting Prospecting, Account and Opportunity Management. They will also have a foundation in analytical and problem solving skills, able to compile basic data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets. Finally, they will have a sense of urgency in responding to Sales inquiries, to deliver a positive Sales support experience.
