About the role

Alta Performance Materials India LLP Role Overview The role leads the Technical Services function for unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats, supporting customers, translating technical requirements into effective solutions, and partnering with Sales through value-based selling. The position strengthens technical capabilities, drives application excellence, and supports business growth. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide expert technical support, product recommendations, and application guidance to customers Evaluate customer needs and translate them into suitable product and solution offerings Partner with Sales to prioritize opportunities and support defined market segments Lead technical service requests, laboratory activities, and issue resolution Act as a technical advisor to internal stakeholders across functions Deliver customer and internal technical training programs Develop technical documentation and support seminars Travel to customer sites as required (20-40%) In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Level of education & Experience in general Bachelor's degree or higher in technical discipline (Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or equivalent) Demonstrated technical aptitude with experience in project management; people management experience is preferred Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations Technical skills Minimum 5 years' experience in composites application support, particularly high-performance resins Hands-on experience with unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats Exposure to reactive polymers, composites processing, and testing Proven ability to deliver results and meet tight deadlines Behavioural skills Results-driven, customer-focused, and collaborative Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities Strategic, hands-on, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Agile, resilient, and committed to SHE compliance ALTA Performance Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace for all employees.
