Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with instrumentation and controls engineering calculations.
  • Familiarity with control system schematics, panel fabrication drawings, and field wiring plans.
  • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Strong coordination skills across disciplines and with external partners.
  • Ability to perform design calculations under supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer.

As an Automation, Instrumentation and Controls (AIC) Engineer II , you will play a vital role in designing and implementing high-performance automation systems that support manufacturing processes, equipment, critical systems, and facility infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to all phases of design-from initial programming and concept development to construction documentation and administration. This role involves executing intermediate-level tasks, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You will expand your expertise in control system design, including multi-controller configurations, workstation/server infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.
