About the role

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and at least 10 years of specialized experience directly related to athletics administration, physical education, sport management, organizational development, leadership development, education program management, or a closely related field. Applicant must demonstrate experience supporting or managing programs in a collegiate, intercollegiate athletics, educational, military, or comparable high-performance organizational environment. Applicant must also demonstrate the ability to advise senior leaders, develop program assessments and courses of action, coordinate across multiple organizations, and communicate effectively in writing and orally. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will have demonstrated currency and excellence in one or more of the following areas: NCAA Division I athletics administration; physical education or athletic program management; organizational development; leadership development; coach or staff development; cadet-athlete or student-athlete support programs; strategic planning; institutional engagement; and executive-level liaison work. Experience working with NCAA, Mountain West Conference, Military Service Academies, Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense, or comparable intercollegiate athletics organizations is highly desired. Experience developing or managing professional development programs, leadership programs, mentoring programs, team captain/student-athlete engagement programs, or cross-functional institutional initiatives is also highly desired. Essential qualities include integrity, sound judgment, initiative, collaboration, professionalism, organizational management, executive communication, and commitment to undergraduate education, cadet development, and the mission of the United States Air Force Academy.
