ETL DataStage Developer

About the role

We are seeking an ETL Developer (DataStage) for long-term consulting work with a Fortune 500 organization in Central New Jersey. Job Purpose/ Description: Minimum of 4-6 years of IT work experience focused in Data Acquisition and Data Integration using DataStage Minimum 4-6 years of experience with ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL Package Experience working with flat files and XML transformations Deep experience in ETL development using DataStage V8 or higher Ability to design multi-tiered data delivery applications based on given requirements Ability to facilitate requirements and design sessions with business users Experience creating high level and low level designs and working with business stakeholders Analyzes performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with systems / applications software and/or application components. Provides mentoring and training to junior staff. Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. Translates business requirements into functional / technical specifications; oversees implementation of these specifications. Tasks and Responsibilities: Logical descriptions the extract, transform, and load process ETL High Level Design ETL Detailed Design Input and output record layouts File/Directory naming conventions File/table sizing information File/table volume information File retention/archival information Documentation on how the data will be transformed ETL Test Plan ETL Performance Test Plan Mapping Specification Mappings Workflows Unit Test Documentation Tested ETL processes Validated ETL processes Accurate and efficient ETL process moved to production Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. 4-6 plus years of IT work experience in IBM DataStage is a MUST 4-6 plus years of IT work experience in Oracle RDBMS is a MUST 1-2 Years of UNIX Scripting is desirable 1-2 Years of Autosys is desirable All your information will be kept confidential.
