Posted Job Title Clinical Research Project Manager C Job Profile Title Clinical Research Project Manager C Job Description Summary This position will support the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) and be responsible for day to day management of complex projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. The Research Project Manager will take leadership role in developing study documents managing the detailed operations of projects, coordinating activities in single center and multicenter studies (including international sites), quality control, and assisting with grant applications when applicable. PM C will lead project strategy. PM C will be required to ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol, provide supervision to educators and teams conducting the study/interventions and collaborates with peers from other Universities and funding agencies. PM C will also be responsible for coordinating grant applications and interacts with funding administrators and the University Business Office. PM C may provide contributions to presentations and manuscripts, including multiple drafts for review and dissemination. PM C will play a primary role in other dissemination activities related to project findings. Job Description This position is contingent upon favorable funding. Job Responsibilities Manage mostly complex, multi-site clinical research projects (including study start up, daily operations, external site communications, recruitment and enrollment, and troubleshooting; QA& QC; study close out activities). Develop, create and review regulatory submission and study documents/tools, including protocols, consents, annual reports, source docs, training slides, MOPs, DSMB charter, CRFs, SOPs. Provide assistance with IND/IDE/CTA exemption determinations. Assist/conduct pre-award finance activities (MRA/MCA development, CTMS registration, RBN, driving contract timelines, budgeting input or development, grant writing assistance); and/or post award finance activities (invoicing, billing review). Staff supervision: Assist and train direct and/or indirect research staff in the Cardiovascular Division and within the CCRU, on procedures as required per protocol(s). Includes onboarding and training, data and lab management, protocol compliance and QC/QA, human subjects protection and GCP, and project assignments/staff mentoring/biannual performance appraisal completion. Perform additional duties as assigned.
