  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary liaison between Architecture and cross-domain Systems Engineering teams to resolve "blockers"
  • Precision Communication: Translating complex technical risks into clear "Go/No-Go" decisions for executive stakeholders.
  • Process Architect: Expert in AI development and execution with a passion for automating manual workflows to reduce human error in the release chain.
  • Technical Interface: Interface with electrical design teams, software developers, calibration engineers, and supplier integration teams to align dependencies.
  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Scout Motors is seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Vehicle Systems to lead safety-critical cross-module cross-system architecture elements including Functional Safety, Diagnostics, Cyber Security and others spanning embedded hardware, software, controls and connectivity. You will become the subject matter expert (SME) for end-to-end system architecture and will coach Feature Owners across the organization but primarily in Vehicle Control/State, Body, Infotainment and UX/HMI. You will bridge gaps between system development and system execution. As a manager, you will need to develop strong relationships across the organization including software engineers, system engineers, validation teams, and suppliers to ensure robust execution of electrical architecture. The ideal candidate has deep experience delivering mission‑critical, reliability‑constrained systems scaling high‑performing engineering organizations and establishing engineering governance, MBSE frameworks, and digital thread capabilities. This is a highly visible, cross‑functional leadership role with direct impact on product development and architecture execution.
