Sr. Manager, Application Engineering, WSS, Capital Solutions

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Application Engineers supporting work in primarily North America, but some global opportunities
• Provide opportunity Go No Go support
• Review opportunities for sufficient Discovery
• Manage the opportunity funnel and assignment to various Application Engineers
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to develop new technologies and solutions
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure proposals meet industry standards
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues, answering inquiries and troubleshooting issues
• Stay up to date with industry developments and trends to provide expert technical advice
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the design and operation of chemical processes
• Develop and implement plans to minimize the environmental impact of chemical processes
• Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• A master's degree in chemical engineering with 7+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, or related engineering field, with at least 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. 3-5 years of people management experience required.
• Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Minimal travel required, 20% or less.
