Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory operations in assigned areas and report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities promptly.
- Handle and store hazardous waste according to the Hazardous Waste Plan to ensure safety and compliance.
- Check equipment readiness for assigned test methods and perform quality control tests as required.
- Enter quality control and routine test results accurately into the SQC system, datasheets, or LIMS.
- Homogenize fuel samples and subdivide them for testing across various test benches
- Perform routine testing on assigned test benches following standard operating procedures
- Follow all Safety and Health policies and test procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Request solvents, chemicals, and sample retrievals through the Sample Management System to support testing activities
- Prepare and label test tubes and test jars needed for laboratory tests
- Oversee the sample homogenization process to ensure sample consistency
- Collaborate with team members and perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
- Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Chemistry or a related field
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts
- Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Training will be provided
