Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television? Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching? Amazon MGM Studios is the movies and television development and production arm for Prime Video. It is our role to develop and produce original content for our global Prime Video customers. We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights. The ideal candidate for this role has a deep knowledge and expertise of the entertainment content creation, streaming, and theatrical business. Dedicated to the U.S./Global Film business, this individual is focused on the design and execution of strategic creative content plans, as well as supporting processes and infrastructure across the studio. They identify strategic business needs, gather creative content requirements, document functional and project progress, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop mechanisms to ensure timely, fiscally efficient, successful decision making across the U.S./Global Film organization. This individual will contribute cross functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management and balance the business needs with the technical constraints. They rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables. The ideal candidate will excel when it comes to communication and organization skills. They have a high attention to detail and are an expert at building and maintaining internal relationships. Amazon MGM Studios still operates very much with a start-up mentality, and so this executive needs to be equally comfortable leading high level meetings and rolling up their sleeves to handle document writing and analytically grounded strategic recommendations for the company. Key job responsibilities Establish annual U.S./Global Film goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, headcount planning and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives. Analyze and improve efficiencies of creative decision-making mechanisms between our U.S./Global Film Creative, Production, Content Strategy, Theatrical Distribution, Finance, Programming Strategy, Consumer Insights, PV Marketing, Business Affairs, and Product/Tech teams. Author business documents and reports to communicate state of the business or recommend new content business initiatives. Create reporting and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate progress against goals to support team activities and report to management on weekly/monthly basis. Work cross functionally with the senior leaders, creative development, content licensing team, original production teams, research, production, finance, marketing and legal departments to document and define initiatives and drive them through execution.
