Additional Information
Application deadline: Jun 30, 2026 As a Data & AI Sales Specialist in one of the fastest-evolving areas of cloud technology, you'll drive growth by helping customers build the modern data foundations that power Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced analytics at scale. You will work backwards from customer goals to create strategic plans that align AWS solutions with their desired outcomes. You'll educate customers on the "art of the possible", showing how a solid data foundation is the prerequisite for GenAI and Agentic AI workloads that depend on high-quality data, open table formats like Apache Iceberg for interoperability and time-travel queries, rich contextual metadata, and performant retrieval patterns (vector search, semantic indexing, RAG architectures) to ground AI outputs in trusted enterprise data. AWS enablers you'll position include: - Amazon S3 Tables & Apache Iceberg - open, high-performance table storage that gives AI and analytics engines unified, governed access to lakehouse data - Amazon Athena - serverless SQL and Apache Spark queries directly on S3 and Iceberg tables - Amazon EMR - a managed big data platform for Spark, Hive, Presto, and Trino workloads at any scale - Amazon Redshift - a managed petabyte-scale data warehouse with native AI/ML integration and zero-ETL connectivity for fast SQL analytics - AWS Glue - serverless data integration for ETL, data quality, and catalog management - AWS Lake Formation - simplified data lake creation, fine-grained access control, and cross-account governance - Amazon Kinesis & Amazon MSK - real-time data streaming and event processing to keep AI context fresh - Amazon OpenSearch Service - managed search, observability, and vector-based retrieval for RAG and semantic search - Amazon Bedrock & Amazon SageMaker - fully managed generative AI and ML platforms for building, customizing, and deploying foundation models and agentic workflows - Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases - managed RAG pipelines that connect foundation models to enterprise data sources for grounded, contextual AI responses You'll help customers understand that GenAI and Agentic AI are only powerful as the data behind them, reliable context, governed retrieval, and a modern lakehouse architecture are what separate proof-of-concept demos from production-grade AI that drives real business transformation. You will then work with a specialized Solutions Architect to design end-to-end architectures spanning these services and selected partner products, and manage the sales process including evaluation, pricing, objection handling, navigating competitive pressures, proofs of concept, and building a supporting business case. The ideal candidate combines strategic sales leadership with deep technical and business acumen in modern data, analytics, and AI. You will collaborate across AWS teams, including sales representatives, solutions architects, product managers, professional services, and partners to drive customer success. You should engage confidently with both C-suite executives and technical stakeholders, translating complex data and AI architectures into clear business value. Your background should reflect success in building consensus across organizations, developing compelling value propositions, and navigating both technical and commercial challenges. Experience in strategic analysis, enterprise sales, and technical solution development is essential; you'll need to understand the technical architecture of modern lakehouse and AI platforms as well as the business implications of helping customers move from fragmented data estates to unified, AI-ready foundations. Key job responsibilities - Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory. - Meet or exceed annual revenue targets. - Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan. - Develop working backwards analytics visions including business case and financial justification, potentially gleaned from earnings reports. - Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS analytics services. - Accelerate customer adoption of Amazon analytics services. - Maintain a robust sales pipeline leveraging sales force automation tools and best practices - Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption. - Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts. - Ensure customer satisfaction. - Expect moderate travel.
