Job Description: As an Embedded Solutions Engineer (ESE/FAE) focused on wired networking and communication infrastructure products, you will engage with clients to create technical solutions while identifying and building new business using your engineering expertise. This position is based in Bangalore, and requires up to 50% travel. You will be expected to reframe their thinking and build consensus for Microchip's solutions, co-creating value by delivering the freedom to innovate. Job Responsibilities: - Engage with Sales and Marketing teams to provide pre- and post-sales technical support for all product lines with a primary focus on High-Speed Wired Connectivity and communication infrastructure products, including relevant new technologies such as Ethernet switches, PHYs, controllers, IEEE 1588, and Microchip's Secure Ethernet switches, as well as Microsemi wired networking products. - USB products, USB hubs, USB PD solutions - Automotive SPE T1S endpoint Solutions - PCIe solution knowledge is preferrable - Learn and utilize Microchip's Client Engagement Process to drive design wins to revenue at select target clients. - Use insight and influencing skills to teach clients about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their technology, which link back to Microchip's solutions. - Engage in client architectural discussions and reviews driving best in class support with Microchip's wired networking and communication infrastructure solutions. - Be an authority on all phases of wired networking and communication infrastructure product design, including requirements analysis, hardware design and simulation, embedded software development, debugging, and optimization. - Conduct architectural and schematic reviews, design-in, and product training for customers. - Fully support client development processes that include Microchip wired networking and communication infrastructure solutions to advance design-in to post-production. - Provide essential communications across functional teams to improve product features and processes, support and attention to client needs. - Support the company's technical and business relationships with assigned clients. - Utilize engineering design skills, techniques, and knowledge to decrease client development time, improve manufacturability, and improve end product performance. - Contribute and participate within a global team environment to successfully develop and implement strategies for assigned clients across all global locations. - Communicate effectively with Microchip product divisions providing quantifiable feedback and ROI for their investments in clients. - Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of wired connectivity components into embedded systems. - Optimize wired connectivity performance, including data rates, signal integrity, and power consumption. - Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for wired connectivity products and solutions in embedded systems. - Experience with network analysis tools, such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or equivalent. - Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and related protocols and standards.
