What Makes This Role Great: This role is a phenomenal launchpad for a junior designer looking to master the complexities of scaling the UX process across diverse product managers, developers, and global stakeholders. Based in our Chennai office, you will handle well-defined, high-impact design challenges. You will get immediate, hands-on exposure to cutting-edge design frontiers, such as crafting conversational AI assistants within spatial map environments, mapping seamless cloud connectivity for rugged field hardware, and turning complex data collection into intuitive mobile modules. Key Exciting Responsibilities Core Product Redesign & AI Integration: Assist Senior UX Designers with core application overhauls and modules, focusing directly on the development of an intelligent AI assistant integrated within our geospatial map viewers. Feature Migration & Scaling: Help detail the migration of critical field data collection capabilities into our core platform ecosystem and its corresponding vertical market editions. Cloud Connectivity Design: Support peer designers in detailing how field hardware connects dynamically to cloud applications, incorporating contextual cloud-tips to enhance user onboarding across verticals. Research & Customer Validation: Support user research and synthesis during field site visits for high-priority initiatives, while leading customer validation efforts for interactive prototypes and new feature designs. Cross-Functional Agile Alignment: Work closely with cross-functional global engineering and PM teams on well-defined design tasks, leveraging our central style guide to maintain impeccable visual consistency. Essential Skills & Experience Professional Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience operating as a junior designer, backed by a compelling portfolio demonstrating clean, intuitive interaction layouts. Education: Undergraduate degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, or a closely related design discipline. Industry Tools: High fluency with standard professional design software, specifically Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite. Agile Frameworks: Practical experience or structural familiarity working with UX processes inside an Agile product development environment. Growth Mindset: An eager, proactive "learn-by-doing" attitude, an appreciation for beautiful detail, a strong team spirit, and a willingness to accept creative direction. Bonus Points For: AI Prototyping: Direct project experience or a demonstrable interest in designing conversational AI tools and leveraging AI-assisted prototyping workflows. Emerging Trends: Familiarity with emerging design technologies, modern mobile micro-interactions, or spatial UI concepts.
