About the role

Within Damen, the Damen Data Services team is a professional provider of high-quality data driven solutions & services and the enabler for digital transformation. Damen Data Services' mission is to create business value by data for Damen Shipyards by innovating the (digital) collaboration between colleagues, yards, ships, customers, and suppliers. The Damen Data Services team is driving our Data & Analytics journey to define, create and activate a 'Human Led, Data Powered' organization. The assignment has its focus on assessing and growing the maturity of our Data & Analytics capabilities. Within Damen we have between the 100 up to 200 Data & Analytics professionals that will be part of this assessment. Concrete, the assignment is conducting the Gartner Data & Analytics Maturity assessment within the Damen organization, resulting in an action plan to grow our maturity level. Key accountabilities As an intern, you will: Be responsible for conducting the Gartner Data & Analytics Maturity assessment Analyze the assessment and present the results and your findings Validate a plan to grow in our maturity level 2, towards the next levels in the upcoming years. Supervisory and support will be given by Bart Ziemerink (Head of Damen Data Services).

Requirements

  • At least several skills/experiences from the following list are required to be considered:
  • You are a Bachelor or Master student, with high affinity and knowledge about Data.
  • You are able to work at the Gorinchem location, at least 2 days a week
  • You are available at the earliest convenience, for approximately 3 months
  • Proficient in the Office package (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good command English (and preferable Dutch too)
