About the role

The Account Director (experiential/events) grows client relationships and revenue through the effective delivery of Jack offerings, working with members of the agency's senior leadership team, serving as a trusted advisor to the client, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver flawless brand experiences for B2C clients.

  • Partner with Strategy to develop and implement measurement metrics
  • Accountable for fiscal health of account(s) and overall revenue, and growth;
  • Oversee collaboration of cross-disciplinary internal teams
  • Confidently negotiate with external parties, such as influencers and media partners in order to create successful collaborations on behalf of the client
  • Ensure that an opportunity brief is developed to set the stage for strategy development
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Creative to ensure all creative content and agency solutions address the business need
  • Contribute new ideas in creative brainstorms to generate ideas for clients, represent client interests and clearly communicate to internal team
  • Be a champion of extraordinary work - by providing inspiration, leadership and expertise in the agency's offerings
  • Exceed expectations with the overall quality of the work (ideas and impact), yielding recognition from the industry, award shows and our clients
  • Grow business
  • Grow client revenue and oversee client profitability, resulting in year-over-year growth
  • Lead new business opportunities through internal process: qualifying opportunities, lead/oversee pitch process, own deliverables (RFP or pitch deck)
  • Act as subject matter expert on best practices bringing to bear significant experience and insight daily
  • Partner with Brand Marketing to develop Award submissions and Case Studies
  • Grow people
  • Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Coach and oversee junior team members on execution of all individual job details
  • Develop talent of junior team by providing challenging assignments and ongoing constructive feedback

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with some of them being in an experiential agency environment OR events and business leadership capacity
  • Growth oriented with a track record and willingness to grow revenue and expand your assigned accounts
  • Interested in and capable of eventually managing direct reports and mentoring others
  • Inspire and drive a spirit of teamwork and collaboration
  • Demonstrates ability to anticipate and resolve team challenges in a complex environment
  • Lead / facilitate collaboration among internal and client teams
  • Effectively present to diverse groups of varying size
  • Clearly communicate understanding of client objective and goals to internal teams
  • Create and communicate a cohesive plan or strategy
  • Lead and influence conversations
  • Proven success as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise and industry knowledge
  • Exhibits deep knowledge of client marketing and business objectives
  • Demonstrates financial fluency and ability to manage complex budgets and forecasts
  • Can solve complex problems or issues independently and expeditiously
