Position Objective: The Warranty Administrator owns the division's warranty program across Nidec Power Americas' multi-site manufacturing network. This role sets the warranty operating system and leads cross-functional governance, ensures compliance with warranty terms and customer agreements, and drives warranty cost reduction through prevention-focused reliability improvements. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Establish and maintain warranty policy, decision rights, coverage rules, and escalation paths for multi-site execution. Create and govern standardized warranty workflows: claim intake, eligibility validation, technical review, RMA/return logistics, repair/replacement authorization, customer reimbursement, and closure. Help develop and enforce an approval matrix for warranty decisions. Ensure customer-facing warranty service levels: cycle time, communication cadence, resolution quality, and consistency across regions/sites. Partner with Aftermarket to coordinate appropriate service labor for issue resolution. Own warranty cost tracking and reporting (materials, labor, freight, subcontracted repairs, field service). Partner with Finance to ensure accurate warranty accrual inputs / monthly forecasting. Drive supplier cost recovery and chargeback processes when failures are attributable to suppliers (with Supplier Quality). Build warranty analytics capabilities: Pareto by product family, site, supplier, failure mode, region, customer, time-in-service. Establish leading indicators and early warnings to detect emerging issues quickly. Ensure systemic issues flow into structured problem solving (8D/Corrective Action) Sponsor reliability improvements with Engineering (design changes), Operations (process controls), and SQE (supplier containment). Develop division-wide strategies, policies, and procedures related to warranty Establish and manage key warranty performance metrics such as costs, resolution times, and more.
