About the role

Reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Men's Basketball Coach with various aspects of the varsity basketball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant men's basketball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant men's basketball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program's philosophies and the athletic department's core values. Duties/Responsibilities 40% - Coaching - Assist head coach in coaching team 20% - Recruiting 20% - Supervision of student-athletes. 10% - Scheduling 10% - Game/Practice management Recruit Student-Athletes Responsible for Game Scheduling (Pre-Season Home & Away Games; Conference Challenge, and Thanksgiving Classic) Community Engagement Coordinator (Rescue mission, Children's Hospital Visit, Unified Teams, etc...) Video Coordinator (Uploading games to Synergy, creating edits for scouting; film breakdown) Assists with academics Assists Head Coach in coaching team (Individual workouts, game strategy, and scouting reports) Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Previous competitive and/or coaching experience in specified sport.   • The full time hiring range for this position is $41,626 - $66,667.
  • The anticipated hiring range at a .75 FTE is $31,220 - $50,000.
  • This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
