Located within the Hesburgh Libraries, the Digital Scholarship Specialist is responsible for managing the Navari Center for Digital Scholarship's services in support of Notre Dame's students, faculty, and staff. The Digital Scholarship Specialist will work as a key member of the Navari Center team and collaborate with Center and Hesburgh Libraries' employees in a rapidly-evolving, technology-rich environment on such functions as outreach and engagement, patron technology support, assessment and reporting, and service portfolio operations. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, genuinely enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, consistently deliver high-quality results during fast-paced work cycles, and possess exceptional flexibility and a willingness to pivot seamlessly when project priorities shift. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Outreach and Engagement: Conduct outreach and promotion of the Navari Center to the larger University community. Plan and implement events, promote workshops and follow-up as needed, and maintain the Center's website and related web pages within the Hesburgh Libraries main website. Emerging Technology Support and Development: Provide on-site technology assistance to all levels of staff, faculty, and students in a digital scholarship environment that includes emerging and legacy technologies. Experiment with emerging technology approaches and platforms to assess and recommend solutions. Research, Assessment, and Reporting: Manage technology training and maintenance materials, assessment data, and writing and formatting for internal and external documentation, annual and ad hoc reports, and in support of continuous process improvement. Service Portfolio Operations: Oversee all Navari Center operations, including serving as the initial point of contact for in-person and digital inquiries and support requests of all types (technology, spaces, and services); hire, train, and manage student employees; manage the equipment lending service; and order and maintain equipment and supplies. Education : Bachelor's degree (4 years) Experience : 1 to 2 years Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to provide basic technology support across a variety of digital platform and hardware types, such as immersive technologies hardware/software, legacy technology collection, statistical software Website and data management skills Service orientation (values inclusivity, courtesy, patience, resourcefulness, problem-solving) Compensation: Up to $68,000, commensurate with experience This position will be accepting applications until July 20, 2026.
