About the role

Our Project and Infrastructure Advisory Team are established industry leaders in the planning and delivery of region shaping projects. We work with government and private sector clients across a range of sectors to transform projects into reality. The national P&IA team currently have approximately 100 specialists with expertise in financial and commercial advice, economics, strategy and planning, business case development, and project management. The team have continued to grow and expand rapidly in recent years, and we are now looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our team to be based in Brisbane, Cairns or Darwin. Working on projects across Queensland and broader Northern Australia, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements including commercial assessments, business cases, feasibility studies, economic development initiatives and project delivery assignments. Key responsibilities will include: Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver project and infrastructure advisory engagements and project management services Managing the delivery of engagements including the preparation and management of project plans, budgets, schedule, risks, progress reporting and invoicing Opportunities to undertake business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients and tracking potential engagement opportunities Developing and implementing engagement pursuit strategies, proposals and tender management processes Contributing to team growth strategies and sector prioritisation initiatives Maintaining strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders and partners and industry representatives Contributing to team planning and development including coaching and mentoring of junior staff Any other business development, project delivery and team management activities as required to support the efficient management of the team About You Tertiary qualifications in finance, law, commerce, engineering and/ or economics Experience in consulting and a solid understanding of government processes and decision-making Experience in project/program management, business case development, feasibility studies, or economic analysis (highly regarded but not essential) Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure or development projects Experience managing projects, including budget and schedule development and resource planning Effective engagement and stakeholder management skills Why BDO?
