Position Summary: The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery is seeking a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide night-time specialty care for the Transplant Surgery service. The APP will provide care for patients of the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW) Transplant Service Line located in Milwaukee, WI as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Advanced Practice Provider will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality, improvement, and teaching while delivering high-quality overnight coverage. Position Highlights: Collaborate with interdisciplinary Health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Program patients as a member of the Transplant Surgery team Manage the transplant population including evaluation and preoperative care, as well as follow up postoperative care and coordination of on-going care Develop expertise in cross continuum care management and treatment interventions specific to this patient population Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care Facilitate and communicate patient, family and other care organizations to promote continuity across the continuum of care Evaluate quality outcomes for the patients under the care of transplant surgery care teams through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes Collaborate with other consultative care teams and the primary team in the management of Kidney and Liver disease Benefits & Incentives: Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Competitive compensation for night shifts Reimbursement for CME and Professional Expenses Supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team environment Opportunities for professional growth, research, and teaching.
