Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides specialized nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, home healthcare, and long-term care facilities. The CNS collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care plans, provides education and support to patients and their families, and conducts research to improve patient outcomes. Job Responsibilities: - Assess patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs - Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans - Provide direct patient care, including wound management, pain management, and medication administration - Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and disease management strategies - Conduct research to identify new approaches to patient care - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care - Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field - Master's degree in Nursing preferred - Current registration as a professional nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) - Minimum of three years of experience working as a registered nurse in a hospital setting - Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Proficiency in computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite Join the team committed to providing the best and safest health and care.
