This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and highly collaborative team tackling one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare: the effective treatment of complex wounds, within a dynamic and inclusive environment. You will be responsible for: Be involved in the assessment of student knowledge and supervision of projects. Assist in the development of student research skills. Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research. We welcome candidates who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to their work. About You We encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You should demonstrate: Essential Criteria: Have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD (or equivalent) Specialist knowledge in the discipline in tissue repair, wound healing or closely related area with knowledge on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of wound healing. Experience in research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes including a broad range of experience in wound healing models, experience with "Omic" approaches to tissue repair and a broad range of analytical approaches including some of the following: gel zymography, western blot, ELISA, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, cell and tissue culture, microscopy and image analysis. Working with health professionals to obtain wound tissues, fluids, images for analyses. Desirable Criteria: Ability to liaise confidently and effectively with a range of individuals Flexible approach to dealing with research problems as they arise Willingness to learn and develop including supporting funding applications We value transferable skills and real-world experience as much as formal qualifications.
