Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Address mechanical, operation, and technical downtime issues within department
• Train, motive and mentor employees
• Supervisor employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain and improve production throughput and work with the Production Manager to maintain direct labor costs
• Ensure company policies, quality procedures, and good manufacturing policies are implemented, understood, and followed.

Requirements

• A four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience
• Experience in Blown Film Industry
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in blown film and Production floor supervision
• Ability to work any shift as needed

Directly supervises 20 - 30 hourly employees. Plans and controls production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpower capabilities and projected business. Ensures compliance to established customer quality and production standards. Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department. Ensures completion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.
