Job Summary The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. Essential Job Responsibilities The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts. Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems. Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications.
