About the role

The Senior Graphic Arts Designer, develops and executes creative digital and print design projects for external audiences, translating product strategy into visual concepts. Advises internal clients on design standards. Requires expertise in typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Supports digital marketing by creating templates, formatting presentations, and handling production tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the creation of promotional materials such as digital banners, email layouts, brochures, event materials, infographics, PowerPoint presentations and flyers. Develop comprehensive visual concepts that translate strategic briefs into engaging designs across various media channels. Support digital marketing initiatives by creating flexible, scalable design templates for recurring use. Manage end-to-end production tasks, preparing files for both print vendors and digital deployment. Requests may include a mix of original design and working from templates, for both print and digital. Troubleshoot and resolve technical design issues related to file formats, color modes, and resolution. Works independently and is comfortable asking questions, making suggestions, and proactively managing timelines for tasks. Other Duties Other writing, communications and coordination assignments on a per-project basis. Performs other design duties as requested by Supervisor. Job Qualifications Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing related field, OR equivalent

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: 5-7 years of related experience, OR equivalent.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with a variety of design concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of current digital and print creative best practices.
  • Desktop publishing experience.
  • Demonstrated Skills:
  • Excellent sense of design with the ability to follow brand standards and specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of typography, grid systems, layout composition, color theory, and print production processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in design and copy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency and adaptability to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Independent worker: can manage workload without supervision, confident to ask questions or provide suggestions, able to build relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Tools
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
  • Knowledge of Canva and Sketch a plus.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet for project management a plus.
  • Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office
  • Tools and process enabling remote connection to internal systems.

  • Preferred
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to be creative within brand standards.
  • Ability to organize and convert key information into a clear, concise and informative design.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
