Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable microservices in Java that form the foundation of the Streamline platform
- Build and operate the workflow orchestration engine using Temporal to execute reliable, durable, long-running processes
- Design fault-tolerant, distributed systems that guarantee correctness and recoverability across complex multi-step workflows
- Explore and implement AI-based solutions to make orchestration smarter-automating routing, decisioning, and self-healing workflows
- Integrate AI agents into the platform to support autonomous and semi-autonomous workflow execution and optimization
- Architect solutions that meet strict compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications and technical requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making processes
- Implement robust error handling, observability, and automated recovery mechanisms
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

- Proven experience delivering scalable APIs and reliable backend services
