Job Description Managers in Product Development/Management at the Consultant / Manager level are responsible for driving product strategy from conception through implementation. The role focuses on identifying new business and market opportunities, creating business plans, and ensuring product consistency with organizational objectives. As a central resource, the manager interacts with systems, marketing, and sales during product development, formulates and executes long-term plans for cost and profit control, and promotes the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Responsibilities
- Direct product strategy from conception and definition through implementation.
- Identify new business and market opportunities and create appropriate business plans.
- Determine market requirements and ensure product alignment with organizational image and objectives.
- Serve as a central resource interacting with systems, marketing, and sales during product development.
- Formulate and execute long-term plans for cost and profit control.
- Promote adoption of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
- Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
- Experience in creating vision statements and setting product goals.
- Experience in defining product strategy.
- Experience in product design.
- Experience in customer discovery and designing new products based on that discovery.
- Experience in product execution.
- Experience in defining and leading plans to achieve product goals.
- Experience working within matrixed, ambiguous environments and understanding the issuing dynamic within the broader payments ecosystem.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks and comfortable working in matrixed organizations.
- Experience in process or core banking best practices and passion to implement these across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, grow, retain, and lead high-caliber technical talent.
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Senior product management experience in Digital, Payments, and Financial Services.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products for issuers.
- Deep background in issuing institutions and needs when growing/managing large card portfolios.
- Strong expertise in defining and executing product strategy, product roadmaps, and go-to-market plans leveraging data to inform decision making and secure influence.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering and design teams.
