Whilst deputed on a field job, he is responsible for conducting the assigned task as per the defined scope, specifications and schedule for work. He is also responsible for making the daily progress report and submission of a Mobilisation and Demobilisation Report as per standard format, as directed by the Company.
Responsibilities
- -Testing and preparation of equipment prior to mobilisation.
- -Setting up and calibration of all surveying equipment prior to data acquisition.
- -Operation and basic troubleshooting of survey equipment deployed in the field.
- -Data acquisition as per scope, specification and schedule as briefed by PC / PM.
- -Archival, back-up and custody of all data logged in the field.
- -Following the safety rules and safe work practices in the field.
- -Active participation in tool-box meetings, and HSE activities in the field.
- -Preparation of mobilisation and demobilisation reports, and handing over of the same with all data logged in original to the FSINPVT Survey Manager on demob.
- -To prepare survey procedures and reports whilst in office as directed by RM/SM.
- -Processing of survey data, Charts and reports on survey as directed by SM/RM
- Required Experience & Skills :
- -Experience in offshore surveys.
- -Good communication skills in English language and good interpersonal skills
- -Ex- Navy PO SR - I, with minimum of 15 years of service in the Navy's hydrographic or Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering
- -5+ years of experience
- -Good to have skills: Geophysical surveying/Sensors. Land survey. Optical and electro-optical instrument/equipment (Total Station, Level, etc)
