Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal policies and processes to align with GB system planning frameworks and licence obligations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Significant experience in system planning, regulatory submissions, or price control frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of transmission network design, operation, and equipment characteristics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, technical, and commercial frameworks impacting transmission networks.
  • Familiarity with GB industry standards and codes (e.g. NETS SQSS, Grid Code) and ESO/STC processes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across organisations and contribute to strategic infrastructure planning.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Degree qualified.
  • Expert knowledge of the transmission network and its technical challenges.
  • Experience engaging with system planning processes and ESO interfaces.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
