Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark, Iceberg, Databricks, and AWS services to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance across terabyte-scale datasets

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 + years of hands-on experience with big data cloud-based technologies .
  • S olid understanding of AWS .
  • E xperience building projects with Databrick s and Iceberg is a requirement for this role .
  • Working knowledge of Python and Java with experience in ETL workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience or strong mentoring background with demonstrated ability to guide architectural decisions.
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud security architecture.
  • Experience with modern BI tools and semantic layer technologies.
  • Prior experience supporting production-grade systems in cloud environments.
  • This position will be located in St.John's or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
