About the role

Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
- Bachelor's degree in materials science or engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience executing material qualification and writing technical specifications.
- 2+ years of experience working with hardware in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in one of the following adhesives, coatings, paint, or corrosion protection.
- Master's degree or doctorate in materials science or engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of aerospace application and use of adhesives, coatings, or polymers for aerospace designs.
- Experience qualifying of coating or adhesive manufacturing processes for volume production.
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense requirements including industry standards such as AMS, ASTM, and MIL specifications.
- Familiarity with laboratory material tests such as differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, or thermal mechanical analysis.
- Work Environment
- Mix of office, l aboratory , and industrial environment. May work with powders, chemicals, and machining equipment.
