This position is responsible for performing raw materials inventory management planning as part of the procurement team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining optimal raw material inventory levels using MRP and lean inventory management tools Placement, management, and entry of purchase orders, as well as communicating purchase order status with suppliers Performing root cause analysis on delivery failures Coordinating inventory transfers between facilities and customer expedite requests Participate in continuous improvement activities to accomplish plant business goals and objectives in terms of safety, quality, customer service, and cost and staff development Collaborate with teams such as Customer Experience and Response, Operations Planning, Finance, Engineering, IT, Research, Development and Innovation, Logistics and other manufacturing facilities Lead defined, medium-sized projects Requires ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and implement improvements to achieve the desired results; Analyze and report inventory levels to plan, recommend and implement corrective action Develop and implement effective processes for new product offerings/enhancements and ramp-up/ramp-down plans for product changes Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe employee work habits, and maintain a respectful work environment Requires a 4 year degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience 5 years' experience working within purchasing preferred, or equivalent supply chain, and/or inventory management experience Solid understanding of information systems that support supply chain and manufacturing operations(Oracle system preferred) Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and databases Project management experience preferred Experience using and teaching lean tools and techniques such as 5S, 5 why, A3 thinking, pull/kanban systems, and kaizen preferred The pay range for this full-time position is $65,000-$75,000 per year + medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
