POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares for and operates a Gamma camera and PET/CT scanner and administers radiopharmaceuticals following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for diagnostic and therapeutic use. Assists patients onto camera/scanner, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT procedures. EDUCATION: Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT and /or NMTCB, or registry eligible, and a current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP. Current CPR certification thru the American Heart Association
