Trade Operations Specialist - Trading Firm - Central - Up to $5.5k

Responsibilities

• Manage full-spectrum trade operations activities for import and export shipments across bulk, and container shipping.
• Coordinate with HQ in Korea, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Process vendor orders and monitor shipment schedules.
• Review purchase contracts and prepare / issue Letters of Credit (L/C) where required.
• Prepare and verify trade and shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and other required export/import documents.
• Ensure documentation complies with L/C terms, contract requirements, and shipping timelines.
• Process Purchase Orders (POs), sales transactions, and goods returns in SAP.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to trade transactions.
• Support month-end closing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in trade operations within a commodity trading, shipping, or international trading firm.
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation and international trade processes.
• Practical experience handling bulk and containerized shipments .
• Familiar with Letter of Credit (L/C) processes, Bills of Lading, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
