About the role
We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer to provide technical support for customers and field service teams across Southeast Asia. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance support, installation and commissioning, while ensuring timely service delivery and high customer satisfaction. You will also support spare parts management, quotation preparation and work closely with internal teams to deliver effective service solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical and process-related issues.
- Support field service engineers with maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, installation and commissioning activities.
- Prepare retrofit, maintenance and spare parts quotations, and assist in managing spare parts inventory across the SEA region.
- Coordinate service activities and respond promptly to customer technical inquiries.
- Conduct customer training on equipment operation, maintenance and safety when required.
- Support machine evaluations, test runs and process optimization to improve equipment performance and production efficiency.
- Assist with equipment setup for demonstrations, exhibitions and customer evaluations.
- Work closely with service, sales and technical teams to ensure efficient project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service reports, technical documentation and service records.
- Travel within Southeast Asia to provide on-site technical support when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in machine servicing, installation, commissioning or technical support, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry (SMT/THT).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and providing customer-facing technical support.
- Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, CRM systems or similar service management tools is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English. Mandarin is required to support communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers and regional stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
