About this role Company: BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. Job Title: Associate Location: 400 Howard St San Francisco, CA 94105 Job Duties: Proficient in managing a portfolio of municipal securities. Focused on managing duration and credit risk in 40-Act funds. Coordination of information and trading strategy among the Portfolio Management team. Utilize technology and analytical tools to enhance processes and create scale. Assess relative values across the investment grade municipal universe, implement investment recommendations and maintain credit surveillance processes. Leverage liquidity sources for both taxable and tax-exempt municipal bonds, constructing trading baskets for ETFs, and monthly fund rebalance activities. Working with index providers to correctly build and maintain index constituents. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as an Analyst, or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Analyzing trading performance using market data including TRACE trading reports, and Bloomberg data; Applying statistical inference and machine learning for assessing relative value of equity options; Python and SQL for data analysis; Managing technology projects and integrating systems in the context of a financial institution; Interpreting macroeconomic and idiosyncratic market data and leveraging for portfolio decisions; Price negotiation with broker-dealers and alternative liquidity providers in the market; Understanding option valuation models and applicability to equity options; and Understanding of first and second order factors driving portfolio performance for risk management.
