Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Wind Turbines.
  • Calibrate and adjust turbine components to enhance performance.
  • Conduct maintenance of equipment including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions on the following WTGs: G114-2.5, G114-2.625, G126-2.5, G126-2.625, G132-3.3, G132-3.465, SG145-4.5, SG145-5.0)
  • Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems.
  • Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) and associated equipment assembly, repair, and maintenance.
  • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements.
  • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills.
  • Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
  • Core Experience
  • Twelve (12) months of related Wind Troubleshooting experience required.
  • SBTT - Siemens Basic Technician Training (Green Profile)
  • Siemens-Gamesa Renewable Energy Basic Technician Training certified - Family 3
  • C&T Gamesa Geared (incl. C&T DAC Converter) training completion
  • Tower Rescue/ Tractel and SRK 11 Certifications preferred.
  • Service reporting, work order documents, and records will be written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Physical/Work Environment
  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
  • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
  • Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grass.
