About the role

The DoorDash Global Payroll Team is on a mission to deliver accurate, timely, and seamless payroll experiences that support our employees across North America and beyond. We operate at the intersection of Accounting, Equity, HR, Compensation, Legal, and Tax, which gives us a unique opportunity to create value across the organization. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring every employee is paid correctly and on time, while driving scalable, tech-forward payroll solutions. We're in an exciting period of growth, working to build the framework to operate payroll at scale for one of the fastest-growing companies We are looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst who is ready to do more than run payroll. This is a role for someone who is energized by complexity, frustrated by manual work, and excited to help reimagine how payroll operates at scale. As a member of our North America Payroll Team, you will own end-to-end execution of US (and, ideally, Canadian) payroll processes, lead medium-to-high complexity initiatives, and partner with HRIS, Equity, Accounting, Tax, and our payroll vendors to build the next generation of our payroll function. If you are someone who has mastered traditional payroll and is now hungry to think like a product owner-writing requirements, partnering with engineers, and shaping the roadmap for how payroll gets done-this role is for you. You will operate with autonomy, and help set the bar for what a modern, tech-forward payroll team looks like. You will report to the NORAM Payroll Manager and serve as a key contributor on the team, with a runway to grow your scope and influence at DoorDash. You're excited about this opportunity because you will... Own end-to-end execution of recurring US (and, where applicable, Canadian) payroll cycles with precision, including audits, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting. Lead payroll initiatives of moderate-to-high complexity from scoping through delivery-partnering with People Ops, People Tech, Equity, Benefits, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external vendors to drive durable outcomes. Act as a process owner: diagnose root causes of recurring issues, design scalable solutions, and partner with People technology teams to translate payroll pain points into well-defined requirements and improvements. Support equity-to-payroll workflows including RSU vests, mobility and shadow payroll considerations, and cross-functional reconciliation with Stock Administration and Tax. Serve as a subject matter expert for ADP (EV6 for US, WFN for Canada) and Workday HCM, while staying adaptable to evolving systems and vendor landscapes. Drive compliance, audit readiness, and controls-supporting SOX, internal audit, year-end (W-2, T4), and statutory filings across jurisdictions. Identify gaps in workflows, processes, and documentation; escalate appropriately, and elevate the team through knowledge-sharing, playbooks, and informal mentorship of peers. Contribute to the long-term vision of the team by helping shape how Payroll evolves from a transactional function into a strategic, technology-enabled partner to the business. We're excited about you because... You have 4-6 years of progressive, hands-on experience processing complex, multi-state US payroll, including a track record of owning end-to-end cycles independently. You have a Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience. You have experience working in modern payroll and HCM platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday HCM, UKG, or similar enterprise systems); comfort learning and adapting to new tools is essential. You have advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (e.g., complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, large-dataset reconciliation). You have experience partnering cross-functionally with HRIS, Equity/Stock Administration, Accounting, Tax, Benefits, and Legal on payroll-impacting work. Some additional nice-to-have experience would be: Canadian payroll experience, including familiarity with CRA/Revenu Québec compliance and provincial nuances. Hands-on experience with ADP EV6 and ADP Workforce Now (WFN). Experience supporting equity-related payroll events at scale (RSU vests, ESPP purchases, mobility/shadow payroll). Experience writing business requirements, partnering with HRIS or engineering teams, participating in UAT, or otherwise contributing to payroll-related product or system improvements. Exposure to data tools beyond spreadsheets (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Looker, Alteryx) or automation tools (RPA, scripting). Experience in a high-growth, public-company environment with SOX and internal audit responsibilities. Informal leadership, mentorship, or project-lead experience on a payroll or finance team We expect this position to be filled by 8/25/26.
