  • May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.

Job Title Associate Chemical Analysis & Product Performance Scientist Location(s) Altria (East Jackson St, Richmond) - Customer Site VA Job Description Job Description Summary: The Scientist I, Chemical Analysis and Product Performance supports analytical testing programs focused on dissolution, mastication studies, nicotine quantification, nicotine degradants, and related chemical analyses. The role generates high-quality analytical data to support product development, regulatory submissions, and scientific investigations, and provides additional chromatographic support across projects. Job Responsibilities Conduct dissolution and mastication testing studies, including dissolution using USP-4 or other USP apparatuses. Perform analyses for nicotine, nicotine degradants, and related analytes. Execute chromatographic testing using established methods and provide additional chromatographic support for chemical analysis. Prepare samples, standards, and quality control materials. Review data for accuracy and compliance. Support method improvement and laboratory investigations. Maintain laboratory records and documentation. Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet project objectives. Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
