In this role, the manager ensures robust financial accounting, compliance, and reporting processes. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and the accounting systems, responsible for audits, overseeing corporate banking, contract administration and Society's secretarial matters in alignment with regulatory requirements. The role combines operational excellence with critical financial oversight and integrity, in assisting the organisation in delivering its mission responsibly and sustainably. This role reports into the Senior Manager - Finance. Role & Responsibilities 1) Financial Accounting & Reporting: Manage full-spectrum of Financial Accounting functions including leading month-end and year-end close processes of Organsation's financial results and reporting package, ensuring general ledger accuracy with sound understanding of accounting treatment in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SRS). Prepare monthly financial statements, review balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate analysis for management. Coordinate annual audits ensuring timely and successful completion, preparation of statutory financial statements for audit and other statutory filings (e.g. GST, Annual Returns, other regulatory returns) Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate historical data and trend analysis. 2) Systems Compliance & Controls Lead bank accounts opening and closing, ensuring proper authorisation and supporting documentation are in place Act as the system owner for the accounting / ERP system (support implementation, upgrade and user training) and ensures system configurations align with accounting policies and operational requirements. Maintain proper documentation of vendor contracts, accounting policies, SOPs, and workflows; ensuring adequate systems are in place for asset and facilities management Champion continuous improvement, strengthen internal controls and efficiencies in processes for scalability 3) Secretariat Matters for Society Manage and oversee Society's secretarial matters and ensuring compliance with statutory laws and regulations, including: Maintain proper records of Board and and Committee meetings, including minutes and resolutions Preparation and filing of resolutions, annual returns, and statutory filings to the Registry of Societies (ROS) and other matters in compliance to Charities Acts via Charity portal Maintenance of statutory registers and company records Assist in the coordination of Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and the and other statutory meetings Qualifications, Competencies & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACA, or equivalent qualification preferred. Min. 5- 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Working experience in social service, Charity, NPO is advantageous Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS and regulatory requirements, in the areas of Fund accounting and Grant reporting requirements. Excellent communication with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders. Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills. High integrity and commitment to ethical standards while results-driven professional who consistently meets deadlines and thrives in a fast-paced environment undergoing transformation.
