About the role
As a Logistics Planning Support Technician , you will support the coordination and improvement of logistics planning activities across Building Construction Products, Leicester, with a key focus on Fleet operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume data and invoice activity, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned to Caterpillar Production System (CPS) principles.
Responsibilities
- As Logistics Planning Support Technician, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development and improvement of logistics processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and consistency
- Manage and analyse high-volume data and invoices, ensuring accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and minimising financial and business risk
- Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, resolving day-to-day issues and driving practical, sustainable improvements with the logistics fleet department
- Work across teams to support logistics planning and Fleet activity, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment e.g. breakdowns, servicing, invoicing and quotations.
- Create, update, and audit Standard Work documentation in line with CPS and CQMS standards

- Uses digital tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, planning systems such as Coupa or Next Gen) to manage and interpret data effectively
- Demonstrates an awareness of logistics, operational, or fleet processes to support planning and delivery
