Job Title : Quality Supervisor Reporting To: Manager, QA Assurance Work Schedule: Onsite - Mineral Wells, TX Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Quality Supervisor to supervise employees in a quality inspection environment. You'll plan, coordinate and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in methods, equipment, procedures, and working conditions. Additionally, you'll support inspection of quality products consistent with established standards. This role has an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Mineral Wells, TX. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries. Day- to-Day Responsibilities: Maintain a working relationship with employees to promote a positive work environment, employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in inspection of product. Supervise employees to utilize all available resources to meet requirements. Interpret specifications, blueprints and change orders to assist in inspection of materials. Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures. Ensure that material, supplies, equipment or services are available for use as required. Responsible for reviewing, recommending, or implementing improvements to processes, procedures, and product quality. Confer with management to promptly resolve problems, complaints, or grievances. Assist the Quality Engineers as required to address corrective actions and customer reported issues. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. Ensure that each employee is properly trained on the operation of measuring equipment and company procedures. Communicate directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability. When authorized, create and approve FAA 8130-3 air worthiness tags as needed. Perform and track audits as part of the internal audit team. Assist in onsite FAA, Supplier and Customer audits as required. Support KPI data for end of month reporting. Here's what you'll bring with you... Typically, Associate's degree and two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience; experience in conducting audits; and an understanding of AS9100 quality standards preferred. Ability to present information and ideas to others in an articulate and effective manner, as well as listen effectively comprehend, and respond to the ideas of others. Ability to reason through problems, review alternative solutions, reach sound conclusions, and modify decisions when necessary. Experience organizing thoughts and presenting them clearly and concisely in writing; ensuring reports and correspondence are well-structured and effective. Must be a U.S citizen.
