The Senior Specialist of Self-Pay Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the self-pay collections process, including managing bad debt inventory and placements, acute and PRC inventory, and statement holds and volumes. Essential Job Functions: Manage Self-Pay Accounts: Oversee the self-pay accounts receivable process to ensure accounts are moving through the self-pay life cycle as designed. Bad Debt Management: Handle bad debt inventory management, placements, and returns. Reconcile bad debt transactions and manage vendor recall requests. Acute and PRC Inventory Management: Oversee the management of acute and PRC (Physician Revenue Cycle) inventory. Deceased Account Review: Conduct reviews of deceased accounts to ensure proper handling and resolution. Statement Holds Review: Review and resolve statement holds to ensure timely billing and collections. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on self-pay aging performance, including ATB (Aged Trial Balance) review summaries for leadership and external teams. Identify opportunities that impact aging self-pay AR (Accounts Receivable). Compliance: Ensure all billing and collections activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the self-pay operations team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in self-pay operations. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
