Responsibilities

  • Train alongside Field Service Engineers at customer site visits, including installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to flow cytometry instrumentation

Requirements

  • Applicants should be recent college graduates within the past 6 months
  • Must hold a 2-year Associate degree or 4-year Bachelor's degree ( preferred )
  • Degree should be in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline
  • Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer focus and professional communication skills
  • Highly organized with good follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines is a plus
  • Computer skills required , including typing, email, and basic software use
  • Additional Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own or have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Must hold a valid U.S. passport for potential travel to Canada
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to adapt to last-minute changes
  • Candidate will be expected to work from home learning how to assist customer's on the phone/remotely for technical troubleshooting when not traveling to customer sites

This is a fixed-term position of up to 12 months , designed for recent college graduates interested in gaining hands-on technical field experience. The position may potentially lead to a full-time regular Field Service Engineer I position for selected candidates, based on business needs, performance, and qualifications. The Associate Field Service Engineer will work alongside experienced Field Service Engineers to learn how to support flow cytometry equipment at customer sites through installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services. This will lead to working independently . Primary Region New England: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Upstate New York NY Metro: New York, New Jersey , Pennsylvania Periodic travel to Eastern Canada and other Eastern sub-regions may be required on an as-needed basis
