About the role

We are looking for a Temporary Production Assistant, Non-Apparel to join the KHAITE team. This role will report to the Director, Production Operations, Non-Apparel and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This role will support the end-to-end production process, including coordinating with vendors in Italy, tracking samples, managing timelines, and ensuring quality standards are met. They collaborate closely with design, development, and logistics teams to ensure accessories are produced on time and within budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage production and supply chain across the Accessories Division - including footwear, handbags, jewelry, belts, and special collaboration projects. Maintain accurate production records, including tech packs/specs, physical material references, and quality control reports pertaining to each season. Monitor compliance of product data in RLM (ERP), including production cost sheet set up and BOMs. Issue and track all purchase orders in RLM/ERP (seasonal, reorders, collabs and chase). Manage raw materials liability to optimize stock levels, minimize holding costs, reduce production lead-times and ensure the success of replenishment programs. Coordinate quality control inspections and approvals across the various stages of production - in line and final QC - to ensure all accessories meet our brands standards for craftsmanship and quality. Manage factory T&A and WIP daily to ensure on time and in-full deliveries (OTIF). Manage the Production fit and approval process within the calendar deadline. Responsible for TOP approvals, escalate quality issues with urgency; communicate approval comments to external partners. Own wear test process; compile wear test findings and effectively communicate to Product team and vendors. Identify areas for process improvement within the production workflow, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality. Conduct weekly meetings with all vendors to monitor seasonal production timelines, assess potential risks, and strengthen relationships. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Education/Experience: 1-3 years of experience in production and supply chain management in an Accessory category is a must. Handbags experience is preferred. Bachelor's Degree Well versed in calendar management on a 4 season a year cadence. Strong understanding of materials, production processes, and quality standards of luxury designer products. Proficiency in MS Office suite is a must. Experience with ERP is a must, (RLM system, a plus). Proficiency in Italian language is a plus.
