Horticulturist

About the role

We are currently looking for a Horticulturist who will be responsible for preparing drawings, sketches, reporting and performing other duties to assist landscape architects in delivering appropriate landscape works.

Responsibilities

• Conducted site surveys and assessments, and prepared landscape design drawings, sketches, and technical reports to support landscape architecture projects.
• Coordinate between the Landscape Architect and client team, providing technical advice on emerging trends, technologies, and industry's best practices
• Plan, design, and implement landscaping projects for parks, gardens, and streetscapes.
• Select appropriate plant species based on climate, soil conditions, and aesthetic preferences. Cultivate and maintain plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and appearance.
• Manage and operate irrigation systems to ensure timely and adequate water supply to landscaped areas.
• Monitor soil conditions and implement appropriate fertilization and soil amendment programs based on site requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and contractors to ensure effective execution of landscaping plans
• Organize community involvement in beautification efforts, planting events or garden clubs.
• About You:
• Minimum Bachelor of Agriculture from reputed public or private universities.
• Minimum 12-15 years of professional experience in relevant discipline.
