About the role

The People & Culture Intern supports our Malaysia People & Culture (P&C) team to deliver great employee and intern experiences, strong people processes and data-driven insights. They will contribute to day-to-day P&C activities such as coordination, documentation, basic data analysis and communications, while gaining broad exposure to how People & Culture partners with the business across multiple portfolios. Intake : Internship - July-August (compulsory) , with the option to extend to 3 months where required by university guidelines. Team & Key Responsibilities Actual responsibilities will vary depending on portfolio placement(s), and may include: 1. Talent & Capability Support coordination of learning programs (e.g. invites, attendance tracking, materials, feedback forms). Maintain learning records and simple reports (e.g. completion rates, attendance). Help prepare slides, communications and collateral for capability-building initiatives. 2. SWP & Talent Acquisition Assist with internship and early careers hiring activities (e.g. CV screening support, interview scheduling, candidate communication templates). Maintain trackers and dashboards for intern/headcount status, interview progress and hiring timelines. Help prepare hiring packs, interview guides or candidate-facing materials as needed. 3. Corporate Communications & Office Experience Draft and format internal communications (e.g. email updates, intranet posts, basic visual assets) for P&C initiatives and office activities. Support planning and on-the-day coordination of in-office events, engagement activities and intern touchpoints. Help capture photos, stories and feedback to continuously improve office and intern experience. 4. HR Business Partnering Support HRBPs with preparation of materials for check-ins, engagement activities and business updates (e.g. decks, talking points, simple data summaries). Help maintain documentation such as organisation charts, team lists and stakeholder contact information. Assist with follow-ups on agreed actions from engagement surveys or people initiatives. 5. People Strategy & Enablement Conduct light research and benchmarking on people practices, policies or market trends to inform P&C initiatives. Assist in preparing slides, summaries and communications for people strategy, projects or pilots. Support tracking of project actions, timelines and simple status reporting. 6. People Operations / Systems Help maintain accurate employee and intern data in HR systems and trackers, following guidance and data integrity standards. Support preparation of standard letters, forms and checklists (e.g. onboarding, changes, offboarding for interns). Assist with documenting processes, FAQs and simple user guides for People & Culture tools. 7. Remuneration & Benefits Provide basic administrative support for benefits and rewards activities (e.g. eligibility checks, communication lists, simple summaries). Help maintain benefits and intern allowance trackers and assist in preparing standard reports. Assist in gathering feedback from interns and employees on benefits and recognition initiatives. Learning Outcomes & Development During the internship, the People & Culture Intern will: Gain practical exposure to multiple areas of People & Culture and how they work together to support the business. Develop skills in stakeholder management, communication, coordination and basic data/insights. Learn how HR systems, processes and policies are applied in a regional organisation. Build confidence in working within a professional environment, managing priorities and meeting deadlines. Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communications, or a related discipline. Strong interest in People & Culture / HR and in creating great employee and intern experiences. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and willing to learn new systems. Organised, reliable and able to follow through on tasks within agreed timelines. Other Skills & Attributes Curious, proactive and eager to learn from feedback and new experiences. Collaborative and comfortable working with different stakeholders across teams and locations.
