Responsibilities

  • The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in informatics or engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience in the software development principles and techniques.
  • 4+ years of relevant DevOps experience in a professional setting with a mixed IT experience background.
  • Both Czech and English in working proficiency.
  • Python will be the first-choice language for most of our automation tools and scripts development, so we are looking for an advanced Python enthusiast .
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, whether physical computers, virtual computers, or containerized, wherever possible.
  • Automate activities using existing tools or our scripts in Python and shell scripting, or some Groovy and other languages.
  • Overall knowledge and active use of some CI/CD/CT related tools and DevOps principles like Jenkins pipelines , GitLab CI/CD , GitHub Actions
  • The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and configuration management tools such as Terraform , Ansible, or similar.
  • Awareness of on-prem or public clouds, such as VMware or Proxmox and Azure.
  • Development experience using containerization in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Awareness of monitoring tools such as Prometheus , Grafana.
  • Understanding of IT networking , common network protocols, and services.

Job Description Rockwell Automation is looking for a creative engineer for its small DevOps team supporting software developers in industrial automation products R&D department. The team is based at RA Prague campus. We are looking for a new colleague with experience in or an interest in software development , the automation of all processes, or someone who is already familiar with the named DevOps culture. Our DevOps team itself, and all the project development teams we support, follows Agile development principles. You will collaborate directly on software and firmware projects alongside development teams. You will grow your career within the DevOps team in the R&D software development department by solving challenging problems using modern tools and practices. You will report to the Prague manager and work in a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days from home.
