Energy Program Associate

About the role

This position is part of the EDF Office of Energy Dominance Financing, Department of Energy. As a Energy Program Associate, you will be individually assisting with carrying out the review, analysis and processing of loan and loan guarantee applications and agreements. The intent of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Business Exchange Program (BEP) is to infuse the Department with industry expertise to meet new or recent program, mission objectives, or regulatory directives on a short-term basis. This job will close when we have received 150 applications which may be sooner than the closing date. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Conducting financial analysis of transactions valued at $50 million or more (excluding single-family home loans, residential mortgages, and standard commercial real estate).; AND Assisting in structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial financial transactions in a fast-paced environment (experience typically gained in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or corporate consulting).; AND Supporting the structuring, negotiation, and closing of large-scale corporate credit and/or non-recourse project finance transactions. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 grade level. Limit your resume to no more than two (2) pages.
