- Familiarity with safety-critical standards and software verification & validation practices in regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, rail, medical devices, automotive)
- Familiarity with testing oriented Python libraries, especially those used for interfacing with hardware or driving test data to embedded targets/HIL rigs (e.g., pySerial, PyModbus, periphery, pandas)
- Experience with Python UI RAD tools, particularly Pygubu
- Knowledge of common test frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest, C unit test frameworks)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with requirements management and traceability tools
- Prior experience leading small technical teams or acting as a technical focal point
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear technical documentation and user guides
- Experience working in a structured development environment (requirements, design reviews, traceability, configuration management)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Description Summary Provide software engineering tool support for an embedded software engineering team by developing and maintaining embedded software support tools for testing and simulations. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Design and execute engineering support tools with common toolsets and User Interface development tools. Take direction from a Technical Leader on the Engineering Support to define project work with the proper priority and strategy. Create product communications simulators on assigned projects. Create automated testing applications with the appropriate hardware. Utilize prior experience in Automated Testing and Simulation to provide leading edge technologies tools. Work with the technical leader to establish an effective work plan, including time estimates, schedule estimates, requirements and work processes. Apply engineering fundamentals and 1st order engineering principles to establish and/or confirm expected performance. Provide clear and complete analysis documentation in accordance with GE engineering procedures. Manage time effectively to provide quality deliverables within the expected project timeline.
